Early childhood is a time for exploration. A time to discover the world around them and practice using all their senses. I loved having my son be a part of Just Peachy during his preschool years (age 3-5). Claire creates open, inviting spaces that spark creativity and imagination. She encourages the children to explore in whatever way they choose. There is lots of outdoor time – walks to near by locations or in a play space that has a mix of nature based elements and recycled materials. It makes my heart so happy to see how much fun the kids have playing in messy situations (puddles, mud kitchens, wet sand, water & ice, dirt, baking, paint, glue, glitter…). Knowing I don’t have to clean that all up makes me even happier!

Claire is nothing short of amazing. We were nervous when our youngest child started daycare at 9 months and him having terrible breath holding spells, but Claire quickly eased our minds providing such wonderful individualized child care specific to our children’s needs. She always kept them engaged with creative activities and lots of outdoor play. Both our children thought of her place as a second home making the transition back to work that much easier.

We are forever grateful.

My son was only 18 months old when we were lucky enough to get a coveted spot at the brand new Just Peachy daycare. I was a nervous new Mom going back to work full-time and it was very difficult for me to imagine leaving my son in the care of someone else. I had toured many different daycare facilities and my anxiety was only rising until I met Claire and toured the Just Peachy facility. You could tell that she had put so much thought and care into the design of the facility and I LOVED the fact that she had not only renovated her entire basement specifically with littles in mind, but also her entire backyard had been turned into an outdoor play center for the kids! The ability to have so much fresh air and outside activities which my son loved. I love the fact that he was messy and immersed in play all day long. I learned so much about how to create fun games and keep him busy when I had him at home. Claire herself really inspired confidence as well. She has the education and passion for her role as a daycare provider, but she also inspired confidence that she could handle an emergency situation and provide an environment where the kids would have structure and have to learn and respect the rules and routines. I know for a fact that my son would not be the independent, kind, creative, fun-loving child he is today without her guidance and support all these years. It really does take a village to raise a child especially when both parents work full time. I will be forever grateful that Claire was, and still is part of our village and I would highly recommend the Just Peachy facility and program to anyone who is lucky enough to get a spot offered to them.
